These Are a Few of My Favorite Things

Namely, writing and model horses. So why not combine them?   Why thank you, I think I will. :-)

Speaking of favorite things, here are a few of my favorite model horse molds:

1. Peter Stone Arabian.

This is my first Stone Arab, Padrone's Psyche.  My dad bought him for me for Christmas the year Stone introduced the Arab.  His name is Psyche Me Out.  The Stone Arab isn't perfect in conformation-his muzzle's a bit boxy, he'a a little long in the body, but really, he is the closest thing out there in plastic to a halter type Arab. I love him. I have I think 25 or 26 of this mold.

1. Breyer's Lady Phase.

This gal had become somewhat of a holy grail for me- I tried and tried and TRIED to get the palomino Paint on eBay and EVERY TIME got outbid.  My dear friend Ginny gave me a $25 eBay gift card for Christmas, and I found this girl, named Sparklin' Echo, on Buy It Now for $30. I put the $5 with the card and she was mine at last!  Not sure how many I have, has to be over 20. I just LOVE her, she looks so sweet and gentle. (Yes, my model horses have personalities...)

3. Breyer Silver

<a href="http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v20/PapSett/Model%20Horses/?action=view&amp;current=ShockTreatment.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v20/PapSett/Model%20Horses/ShockTreatment.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

This is the Lone Ranger's trusty steed Silver, sculpted by Kathleen Moody.  I named mins Shock Treatment.  I just love his attitude.  I have about 7, I think, 2 customs (CM) and the rest original finish (OF).

4. Breyer Indian Pony.

<a href="http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v20/PapSett/Model%20Horses/?action=view&amp;current=001.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v20/PapSett/Model%20Horses/001.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

This is one of my own creation, AMB Calico Knickers, a Pintaloosa (cross between Pinto & Appaloosa).  I have 12 or 13 Indian ponies, another mold that I love her sweet face, she looks like a trustworthy horse you could do anything with.

5. Breyer Wintersong.

<a href="http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v20/PapSett/Model%20Horses/?action=view&amp;current=002-Copy.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v20/PapSett/Model%20Horses/002-Copy.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

This is AMB Highland Splash. (Notice, any models I painted have the prefix AMB... kinda like my stable name for them.)  He is my own creation.  I have 3 OFs and 2 CMs, plus one in the body box I can't decide what to do with. This fellow is pure draft horse goodness, I love everything about him.
